- Couples must be married at least 3 years. The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum age is 45 years for the younger spouse
- An active Christian faith.
- Love Basket makes every effort to match prospective birth and adoptive parents according to the kind and amount of contact they desire to have, both before and after the placement of a child. As a minimum, adoptive families must be willing to correspond (and send photos) to the birth parents at least annually until the child reaches 18 years of age.
- Children are placed in all U.S. states and territories except New York State, where Love Basket places children through international adoption only.
