Interest and Hobbies: We love spending time together and with our family and friends. We enjoy having fun, serving at church, exploring antique stores and grabbing coffee together. Brian enjoys working on projects for our house, golfing, art and playing guitar. Ashley loves to be a part of planning and hosting parties for others. She enjoys crafts, furniture painting and sewing.
Home: We live in a comfortable home in a neighborhood surrounded by many of our friends and their children. Our home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is full of life. We have a wonderful fenced in backyard which is great for playing outside and we live within walking distance of the park. We love spending time in our neighborhood with our friends.
Pets: We have two dogs who we love spending time with. Mimi is a bichon frise and is 9 years old and Edgar is a terrier mix and is 7 years old.
Finances: We work together to be good stewards of our finances. We are financially secure and have savings in place to secure our family for the future.
Why are you interested in building a family though adoption? We began trying to grow our family in 2010 and after years of infertility we felt the Lord growing our hearts for adoption. We are so excited about the plan he has to grow our family through adoption and the day we are able to bring our child home.
Openness to Birth parents: We are open to both open and semi-open adoption. We are excited to share photos and letters with our birth parents. We respect the role of our birth parents and will determine further contact as our relationship with our birth parents grows.
Childcare Plans: We plan to spend time at home upon the arrival of our baby to focus on bonding and attachment with our baby. Upon returning to work we plan to use a local faith based child care facility.
Statement of Faith: We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and died a sacrificial death for our sins. We believe that our faith is about an active relationship with Christ. It is our privilege and honor to serve in our church by teaching 3 and 4 year old Sunday school. We strive to live a life that honors God and shows his love to other.
